Auditions for Protégé for the 2022-2023 season will be held on Tuesday, May 24 from 6:30-7:30 If your child will be unable to audition at that time, there is a second audition on Tuesday, June 21 from 7:00-8:00 pm.The entry fee for the competition is generally $60-$70. This level will go to one dance competition.They may also take an optional hip hop class.
Students will take a Protégé ballet/tap/jazz combo class and must also take an Acro Dance class.For information on tuition and fees, plus view our Tuition and Policies page.Ĭlasses for the 2022-2023 Season begin August 27, 2022.This level does NOT go to dance competition.If these dates don’t work for your child, they may enroll in a summer camp or class and be assessed during the summer. Students do not need to attend every class, but must attend at least three to be assessed. Classes meet on Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30-6:30 pm from May 26-June 21. New students can attend three Petite Protégé assessment classes in May and/or June.If your child was in classes during the 2021-2022 school year, you can contact Cheryl Morris at to ask that your child is assessed for Petite Protégé.Students will take a Petite Protégé ballet and tap combo class and must also take an Acro Dance class.These advanced, invitation only classes will give dancers extra time in class, further challenge them and serve as a stepping stone to the Relevé Dance Company! Petite Protégé Requirements: Successfully completing Segment A, High School Student, grades 9th - 12th.Do you have a young dancer who LOVES dance and wants MORE? We will be assessing students this summer for our Petite Protégé and Protégé classes. Successfully completing both segments (A/B), students will have an opportunity to present their portfolio of work to earn up to six college articulation credits at Ferris State University's Digital Animation and Game Design Program.
Using industry techniques and processes you will learn to create models that can be fully 'rigged' and animated for use in video games, animations and movies. This next level course, you will master 3D modeling and animation skills using the Autodesk Maya program. Requirements: High School Student, grades 9th - 12th.ģD Video Game Modeling and Animation - Segment B By the end of the semester you will create a portfolio of work which includes a final animation project using 3D digital assets you created during the course.

Requirements: Successfully completing Level 1, Middle School or High School Student, grades 5th - 12th.ģD Video Game Modeling and Animation - Segment Aīased on Ferris State University's Digital Animation and Game Design curriculum this Protege Game Studio course is focused on using and learning the 3D Modeling software program "Autodesk Maya" which is an industry standard program used by game and visualization studios around the world. Students will use tools and mobile emulators to develop, design and debug their video game creations. This next level course will continue to develop skills in areas of computer programming, graphics, animation, sound, design, and learning basic project management skills using Kanban and Agile.
PROTEGE ACADEMY HOW TO
Students having successfully completed the prerequisite level one course will learn how to design and create video games and virtual reality experiences for mobile phones and tablets.
Requirements: Middle School or High School Student, grades 5th - 12th Students will also have an option to drop-in to Protege's Studio Classroom during posted support hours.
PROTEGE ACADEMY CODE
Students will access and complete all course assignments, tests, code files and learning material online. In this level one course students will learn to develop a video game that is playable on the Internet by learning skills in areas of computer programming, graphics, animation, sound creation, game design and web development. Introductory to video game design and development course by Protégé Game Studios.
